My Family
I’ve been married to my beautiful wife, Courtney, since 2004. Courtney is an entrepreneur and aesthetician that specializes in hair and airbrush makeup for special events such as weddings and photo shoots. She co-owns Bliss Hair Design in Carmel, IN and does work throughout central Indiana.
We are the parents of three adopted children from Ethiopia and Rwanda (you can read about some of our adoption adventures here.) We are passionate about anything related to missions and adoption. Our family is crazy, fun, and sometimes out of control. We are so thankful for this adventure God has us on.
In my free time, I enjoy doing triathlons, reading, hiking, traveling, watching movies, and anything that involves my family.
My Biography
I held my first major leadership position as the president of my Fraternity in college and then had the opportunity to serve on my Fraternity’s international board. Since then I’ve held a variety of roles where I’ve been able to equip individuals and organizations take their next steps, discover their strengths, and find success.
I attended Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where I majored in Computer Science and Economics. I also had a minor in Spanish and Mathematics. I graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2002.
After college, I spent five years working for Texas Instruments as a Technical Sales Representative. After a short time being bi-vocational I went on staff full time, in 2007, as a Pastor at Life Church where I served full time as Executive Pastor until 2016. I still serve part time as a Pastor at Life Church, preaching occasionally on the weekends, and holding other leadership roles.
These days I spend most of my time as a Leadership Coach with Dulead. We believe that we are at an intersection of technology and leadership development unlike any other time in history. We utilize technology to equip organizations to do leadership development in a way that is continuous, consistent, measurable, and extremely effective.
I also do some leadership consulting and write leadership content for other organizations here in Indianapolis.
